If you’re running a small business or nonprofit, especially as a woman of color, queer or trans founder, or disabled entrepreneur, you’ve probably been told (explicitly or not) that you need to do everything yourself.
DIY your finances. Be your own marketing team. Manage your inbox, your CRM, your social media, your sanity.
The hustle is not sustainable. If burnout hits, it’s not your fault.
We Weren’t Meant to Build Alone
So many visionary leaders are carrying powerful mission, but doing it on fragile foundations. Not because they aren’t brilliant or capable, but because they don’t have access to the behind-the-scenes support that helps organizations grow sustainably. And for folks from historically excluded communities, that lack of access is even more pronounced.
That’s where operations come in. Good operations reflect your values, adapt to your style, and actually clear space for you to lead.
What I Do Is Support
After 20+ years of organizing chaos and building systems for nonprofits, startups, and grassroots orgs, I’ve learned this: Freedom demands form.
When your inbox is manageable, your team knows what to do, and your systems work without you constantly tinkering? You breathe easier. You lead more clearly. You grow.
That’s what I’m here for.
If You’re Overwhelmed, You’re Not Alone
This blog is a space where I’ll share the systems, strategies, and perspectives that help mission-driven folks stay grounded, get organized, and scale with intention.
We’ll talk about:
How to simplify your backend without losing your soul
Tools I actually recommend for small orgs and solo leaders
Real-life examples of how systems create space, not stress
Whether you're dreaming big or just trying to survive the next week, you’re welcome here.
If you’re ready to get out from under the chaos and back into your purpose. Let’s build something sustainable, together.
